The Killimer – Tarbert Car Ferry connects counties Clare (Killimer) and Kerry (Tarbert).
How long does the Ferry Take?
The Tarbert Ferry takes 20 minutes to cross the Shannon estuary.
The ferry departs from Killimer every hour on the hour (7.00hrs – 19.00hrs) and from Tarbert every hour on the half hour (07.30hrs – 19.30hrs) from Monday to Saturday.
On Sunday times are: from Killimer 09:00 – 19:00 Hours and from Tarbert 09:30 – 19:30 Hours
This Ro-Ro (Roll On – Roll Off) car ferry will save you about 2 hours driving time.
Winter schedules may start later and end earlier and Sunday times may vary.

Ferry Price
It costs approx €23 for a car which is well worth it for the time saved and the photo opportunities from the upper deck (weather permitting of course!).
