It is well known for it’s pristine white sandy beaches and is a Special Area of Conservation and Protection. The island is a breeding area for the very rare Corncrake, a native Irish bird.
It is known for it’s community of artists and for it’s traditional Irish Music sessions. There are many looped walks to be enjoyed in addition to fishing, swimming and diving in the crystal clear waters.
