A Donegal Wild Atlantic Way Discovery Point
Lisfanon Beach
Lisfannon Beach is accessible through low sand dunes beside the car park. The lovely views from the beach of nearby Inch Island and Rathmullan across Lough Swilly ensure it’s status as a Wild Atlantic Way Discovery Point.
The area is a key wetlands site for birds and an important natural heritage area. Fahan Wood, noted for it’s native oak, hazel and rowan trees, is just 1km from Lisfannon Beach and is classified as being of regional importance.
