Dunquin Harbour

This is a Ferry Crossing Point (Embarkation Point) for The Blasket Islands

Dunquin Pier cannot be seen from the roadway. To reach it one must walk down the narrow winding path. Once you see it you will recognise the iconic postcard image. This pathway and ferry have been used since the Blasket Islands were inhabited to provide an important link to the mainland for the Islanders and to bring sheep to graze on the Islands.

Sailings may be cancelled in bad weather.
