New Wild Atlantic Way Online Guide Website Launched
Welcome to Our New Wild Atlantic Way Online Guide Website!
The Wild Atlantic Way is one of the most exciting tourism initiatives undertaken in Ireland. The quantity and quality of online resources available to assist the visitor are excellent with each website offering information from a slightly different viewpoint.
So what is different about our Wild Atlantic Way Online Guide website?
When designing this site we put ourselves in the shoes of the person who may be planning their trip to Ireland or indeed those living here who were curious to learn more about a county they hadn’t previously visited. It struck us that while most of us may not know what areas exactly make up the official regions defined as The Bay Coast or The Surf Coast for example, they would most likely have heard of the county names along the route – Cork, Kerry, Clare, Limerick, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim & Donegal. For this reason we laid out our website with pages for each county route and further pages for each Discovery Point in that county. We feel that this makes for a clear navigation and easy access to useful relevant content.
On each Wild Atlantic Way County page we offer the following information:
- A general introduction to that County
- A Map of the Wild Atlantic Way Discovery Points in that county – with links to the Discovery Point pages
- Plus a List of the Wild Atlantic Way Discovery Points in that county – with links to the Discovery Point pages
- Wild Atlantic Way Tours available in that county
- Links to Accommodation for that Wild Atlantic Way county
- Festivals & Events in that county
- Places to Go & Things to Do in that county – Businesses can add their own listing to our Business Directory
Each Wild Atlantic Way Discovery Point Page has detail about the place and shows it’s map location which links out to Google Maps allowing the visitor to easy get driving directions on their mobile device.
Our Blog highlights news and the latest happenings on the The Wild Atlantic Way. Our blog also includes the personal take of our travel blogger Kate who will be visiting each of the Discovery Points and the Signature Discovery Points starting in Cork and working her way up the coastline to Donegal.
